Soundtrack for Once Upon a Summer
We all have soundtracks for our lives - music that transports us in a heartbeat to a particular time and place whenever we hear it. Our favourite bands had a way of anticipating and voicing our thoughts, joys, angst, dreams, and desires in a lyrical and timeless way. That applies equally to my fictional characters. The Moody Blues became a hit with a whole new – younger – generation of fans with their “Your Wildest Dreams” hit on the album The Other Side of Life in 1986. Here’s a list of their music referred or alluded to in the novel or relevant to the story. The songs speak of love and loss and second chances.
